John Muir Trail
Arguably, the most beautiful hike in California – the 222 mile John Muir Trail origianlly went north from Mt Whitney to Happy Isles, Yosemite. Now, it has become tradition to hike from North to south. Both ways present challenges and rewards and there is no “right” way to do this trip. Plan on a three week journey sometime between June-September with two to three food stops along the way. We hike 15 miles a day is an average and some even up to 30 (though rare through the high country).
We spend three glorious weeks away from civilization and distractions of all types. We pack light and stay in some amazing off the beaten path locations along the way. The water is the cleanest in the state and so is the air. If you or a loved one wants to have the hike of their lives, send us a message for a summer inquiry.
